All Nebraskans value clean air and a healthy environment. We strive to be good stewards of the land and provide a better life for our families. But now, the federal government is launching a campaign to impose unprecedented regulations on how we manage our resources. A new rule proposed by the Environmental Protection Agency, which would be the most expensive in American history, would negatively impact each and every Nebraska family.
Last November, the EPA announced it would dramatically increase restrictions on ground-level ozone from 75 parts per billion (ppb) to between 65 and 70 ppb. This may not sound like much, but make no mistake: the new rule will have devastating consequences.
