Pa. needs Wolf plan to invest in energy

Climate change and other considerations dictate that Pennsylvania expand its use of renewable energy and conserve more. Gov. Wolf’s energy investment initiative is the most feasible way to do this right now, and this initiative should be a priority in budget negotiations.

The governor’s initiative would help combat climate change, create good green jobs, and reduce energy costs. It is part of a larger economic development package that would be funded by a bond issue to be paid for with a severance tax on natural-gas production. The $140 million proposal includes:
